Delete your account

Updated July 9, 2026

You can delete your WorkLegacy account at any time. Deleting removes your personal information and your ability to sign in. The knowledge you contributed on behalf of your organization stays with that organization, re-attributed to “Former Employee,” so the team doesn’t lose it — exactly as described in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

What’s removed and what stays

WorkLegacy exists to preserve organizational knowledge, so your personal identity and the knowledge you captured are handled differently:

Removed

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your avatar / profile photo
  • Your bio and profile details
  • Your direct messages
  • Your device push tokens

Stays

  • Posts
  • Comments
  • Upvotes
  • Service records

Retained by your organization and attributed to “Former Employee,” per our Terms.

Deleting removes your ability to sign in and de-identifies your contributions — it does not delete the knowledge itself, which belongs to the organization. This is the “legacy” the product is built to protect.

Backups & data retention

After your account is deleted, residual copies of your personal information may persist in our encrypted, routine backups for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten and permanently gone. We don’t restore deleted personal data from backups except as required to recover from a system failure.
